Health Insurance: KWHIA Committed To Mass Enrolment Of Kwarans
The Kwara State Health Insurance Agency is committed to attaining wide spread enrolment of the people of the state into the scheme to promote greater access to qualitative healthcare.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Olubunmi Jetawo-winter, gave this indication during an orientation programme for staff of Offa, Moro, Oyun, Oke-ero, Edu, Ekiti, Irepodun, Isin and Patigi Local Government Areas of the state.
The orientation which was held at the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission Headquarters was part of the Agency’s sensitization programme for local government staff.
Dr Jetawo-winter, while addressing principal officers of local government areas, explained the benefits and importance of the Kwara State health insurance scheme and the need for all civil servants to be onboard.
She reiterated that the Agency was working tirelessly for increased enrolment in all sectors using different strategies and has commenced orientation for Mninstries Departments and Agencies across the state.
She urged them to accept the health insurance scheme as an alternative to out of pocket payment and assurance of a dependable health care service for them and their respective families.
